Automation under your control

Keep workflows, credentials and execution data on your own server.

An n8n VPS provides a dedicated environment for the editor, webhook endpoints, database and background executions. Start with a practical resource tier, then add capacity as workflows become more frequent or complex.

Private workflowsDesign and run automations from your own hosted n8n instance.
Always-on webhooksReceive events while the VPS and n8n services remain online.
Persistent dataUse attached storage and a supported database for durable configuration.
Growth pathIncrease resources as executions, concurrency and connected services expand.

Why this VPS

A focused environment for n8n.

Pair the application with isolated Linux compute, persistent storage and enough capacity for its services, logs and data.

Visual workflow automation

Build multi-step automations and connect supported services through the n8n editor.

Public webhook handling

Expose secured webhook endpoints for event-driven integrations and application workflows.

Persistent storage and database

Retain workflows, credentials configuration and execution data on your own deployment.

Docker Compose friendly

Follow the official self-hosting approach using Docker Compose and a reverse proxy.

Scheduled executions

Keep time-based and background automations running on an always-on VPS.

Operational control

Own the update schedule, network exposure, secrets, backups and application security.

Deployment path

From VPS order to a working n8n environment.

A clear self-managed path from server selection through security, configuration and ongoing maintenance.

Choose resource headroom

Size the VPS for n8n, its database, execution history and any reverse proxy or worker services.

Provision Linux

Start with a supported Ubuntu server and secure administrator access.

Deploy n8n

Use the current official Docker Compose guidance and configure a domain with HTTPS.

Build and monitor

Create workflows, protect credentials, watch execution usage and maintain backups.

n8n’s documentation describes relatively modest base memory requirements, but real usage depends on workflow data, execution concurrency, database choice, binary files and retention settings. Application installation, configuration, backups and updates are customer responsibilities unless a managed option is explicitly shown at checkout.

n8n can run with less memory in simple cases, but a 2 GB VPS provides more practical headroom for the operating system, Docker, n8n, a database and reverse proxy.

Unless a preinstalled image or managed setup is explicitly shown during checkout, the VPS is delivered as a self-managed Linux server and you should deploy n8n using its official documentation.

A domain is strongly recommended for a stable HTTPS editor URL and public webhook endpoint. Configure DNS to point to the VPS and use a supported reverse proxy with TLS.

n8n supports PostgreSQL for self-hosted deployments. Size the VPS and storage for both the application and database, and back up the database regularly.

Higher-volume deployments may use queue mode, workers, Redis and a supported database. These patterns require additional resources and administration; choose a higher plan and follow current n8n guidance.

Turn repetitive work into reliable workflows.

Host n8n on an always-on server with enough capacity for your editor, webhooks, database and execution history.
